Information On Siberian Tiger
Comprehensive information on siberian tiger will include many pictures in their photos section.
There is also the same amount of these cats that live in captivity as in the wild. These are beautiful, elegant animals. They are the largest animals of this subspecies. Males are about 3,3 meters long and weigh about 300 kilograms and females weigh about 110-167 kg and their length is 2,6 meters. Unfortunately, the population of these felids has sustained a great devastation in the 20th century. With the breakup of the Soviet Union, illegal trade in their body parts increased, and now the situation seems to be getting out of hand. Sadly, if this tendency persists, there will be no such animals in less than 20 years.

Information On Siberian Tiger -
pictures, photos
They say nowadays there are not more than 200 cats left in the wild and they are almost on the verge of extinction. These animals are found in the Amur-Ussuri region of Siberia and also in northern China and Korea. It has been estimated that about 50 animals get killed by poachers every year, and that is more then their birthrate. In the Russian Far East, poaching is but the only way to earn a living, and the legislation is too mild to make an effective barrier in poachers’ way.
