Siberian Tiger

The Siberian Tiger is endangered partly because of farm expansion and is strongly in need of conservation. These animals have a longer coat that protects their body in winter and also makes them look massive. As winters are very severe in their habitat, the fur can be 21 inches long and there are about 3000 hairs on each square centimeter of the body. They are also great hunters, and are capable of stalking their prey for a long time. They charge the nanosecond the prey gets close enough, settle on its back and bite on its throat and hold on until it dies. They usually hide the kill away from other predators. The animals of the subtype discussed are beautiful, very big, and have a distinctive coat color. It is orange with black stripes all over the body. The length of the fur is more than that of other subspecies. In order to survive in cold weather, they have to hunt and eat a lot. They prey on deer and wild boar, and can take a hundred pounds of meat in one go. These felines are renowned for their striking power and grand appearance, and are undeservedly referred to as ‘vicious killers.' The Siberian Tiger is endangered partly because of farm expansion and is strongly in need of conservation.
